Where I've been
Everest Base Camp, Nepal
Everest Base Camp Trekking Rte, Khumjung 56000, Nepal
Located at the foot of the Khumbu Glacier, EBC is encircled by some of the most iconic peaks on Earth. Standing at 5,364m, surrounded by Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori and the imposing Khumbu Icefall, this is one of the most extraordinary places a hiker can reach. The trek passes through Sagarmatha National Park, crossing suspension bridges over glacial rivers, climbing through the Sherpa heartland of Namche Bazaar and Tengboche, and sleeping under skies dense with stars at high-altitude teahouses.
Kilimanjaro, Africa
Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
A dormant volcano towering at 19,341 feet — Kilimanjaro is every hiker’s dream. Africa’s highest peak rises dramatically from the Tanzanian plains, its glaciated summit visible for hundreds of kilometres. The ascent passes through five distinct climate zones, from lush rainforest to alpine desert to the arctic summit crater. The feeling of reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise, watching the shadow of the mountain stretch across the clouds below, is something that stays with you forever.
Patagonia, Argentina
Chilean Patagonia
Torres del Paine has the most stunning and beautiful landscapes on earth and is a hiker’s haven. The wind-sculpted granite towers, turquoise glacial lakes, and vast Patagonian steppe create a landscape unlike anywhere else. The W Trek winds through valleys carved by ancient glaciers, past roaring waterfalls and towering peaks, offering views that feel almost too extraordinary to be real. The light in Patagonia is unlike anywhere else — low, golden, and constantly shifting as storms roll in from the Southern Ocean.
Fitz Roy, Argentina
Fitz Roy, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina
Also known as the smoking mountain, Fitz Roy is a towering spine of rock and ice and is a hiker’s dream. The jagged granite spires of the Fitz Roy massif pierce the Patagonian sky, often shrouded in cloud — earning it the Tehuelche name Chaltén, meaning “smoking mountain.” The approach through lenga beech forest opens suddenly onto views of the Torres, reflected in a glacial tarn — one of the most dramatic mountain reveals on earth.
Norway
Norway
Norway is unlike anywhere else on the planet. From the dramatic sweep of its ancient fjords to the jagged peaks of the Jotunheimen range, every landscape here feels impossibly grand. I hiked through valleys carved by glaciers over thousands of years, stood on cliff edges above mirror-still waters, and chased waterfalls that seemed to fall from the sky itself. Whether you’re trekking to the famous Trolltunga, exploring the Lofoten Islands, or simply wandering a quiet mountain trail, Norway rewards you at every turn.
Banff, Canada
Banff, AB, Canada
Nestled deep in the Canadian Rockies, Banff National Park is one of the most breathtaking places on earth. With turquoise glacier-fed lakes, towering limestone peaks, and vast alpine wilderness, Banff offers an unmatched blend of natural beauty and outdoor adventure. Whether you’re hiking to the shores of Lake Louise, paddling on Moraine Lake, or spotting wildlife along the Bow Valley Parkway, every corner of this UNESCO World Heritage Site leaves you speechless.
